Hello little Bouncy Bean

I went for an untrasound today, just to make sure I’m not wasting my money on the Harmony bloodtest. At first, I saw the little figure, all still, but I couldn’t detect any flickering heart. Many LONG seconds passed before the technician pointed out that she had a bad angle, but she could definitely see the heart beating. GOODNESS GRIEF. 

And the next minute our little Bouncy Bean started happily bouncing about. Measuring 10w 1d, all is well.

Harmony

We have decided to do the Harmony test this time, to make sure this kid has an appropriate number of chromosomes. It was never an option with Daisy, we opted for the trisomy scan at 12 weeks, as the test only became available in Australia the year she was born. With Clara I saw a leaflet about it, but it’s silly expensive so we skipped it. This time we’re paying the $425 to have it done. No Medicare rebate to be had at this time, but I certainly think that will change in the future.
